In 2002, the production of the entire range of water-based coatings is transferred to a new, 5,000m2 facility. ICA Group inaugurates its new Research & Development laboratories, covering a total area of 3,700m2 and including chemistry and physics labs, application labs and training rooms.
In 2004, ICA acquires the wood coatings arm of BASF Coatings, giving rise to a new company by the name of Salchi Wood Coatings.
In 2005, a new warehouse, dedicated to the storage of finished products, is opened. The 10,300m2 facility is located on a 25,600m2 site.
Since September 2005, ICA has been in a position to sell its products directly in Germany, thanks to its first direct sales subsidiary, located in the town of Heek.
ICA attains Environmental Management Certification in compliance with the UNI EN ISO 14001:2004 international standard.
ICA Group establishes ICA Iberia in order to reinforce its presence in Spain and Portugal, allowing it to provide more direct sales and technical services to the Spanish and Portuguese markets.
