The new MY LAB system has been studied for interior designers and architects who need uncommon contrasting or tone on tone combinations in order to make their design even more exclusive. Thanks to a combination of more than 60 new “liquid metals”, it is now possible to laminate the colour part of the product-object (or furniture) with aesthetic and trendy contents. “The colored beads” become a creative element making the product more innovative (in terms of application and technical performance of the product) and trendy (the matching colors and shades are trendy colours worldwide).
The new colors are the latest fashion on both the Italian and International markets. They are single component water-based metallics that have a low environmental impact. Compared to conventional metallics, these are characterized by their great covering power and uniformity.
The new “liquid metals” are divided into two categories: primary and secondary colours. The primary colors are pure-colored beads and the secondary colours are obtained by mixing the pure beads.
These new pigments are unique because they offer full-tone colors (similar to a lacquer) together with a metallescent effect that is more subdued than classical metallics. Moreover, the intensity and depth of the "liquid metal", especially that of primary colours, is considerably different than typical lacquers or metallics because they have innovative tones. Finally, the secondary colors have a unique brilliance of the metal.
The micro texture is pleasant to the touch; it is a balanced surface alternating between solid and void, without creating depth.
The new MY LAB system is designed for interior designers who want to boost the design and creation of their objects. The color system designed by ICA Group laboratories can be used on wood, glass, bamboo and other materials used in the creation of interior design objects and furnishings.
