Acrylic coatings

Acrylic products are particularly suitable for the coating of light-colored woods, woods that have been chemically bleached, woods with open-pore coating and for coating cycles where the requested characteristics are transparency (since they are formulated with colorless resins), resistance to yellowing and elasticity.
ICA Group offers an extensive range of acrylic coatings – matt and gloss, open-pore and closed-pore, transparent and pigmented.
  • Versatility and easy of use
  • Spray, roller, curtain-coater or electrostatic application
  • Excellent chemical-physical resistance
  • Excellent aesthetic properties
  • Excellent transparency
  • Solid content 18-40%
  • Formaldehyde-free
  • NMP-free

Thanks to their high sealant power, acrylic sealers make it possible to retain intact the natural color of the wood. Sealers are generally used as the first coat, and are the indispensable for the anchoring and complete polymerization of the base coat.
Base coats
Acrylic base coats offer good elasticity, transparency and resistance to yellowing. They are mostly used on open-pore or brushed woods.
Top coats
Acrylic top coats, which are particularly suitable for open-pore wood species, are applied as the final coat in the coating cycle, endowing the coated object with the desired aesthetic and tactile properties.
ICA Group's acrylic top coats have very high performance characteristics in terms of chemical/physical resistance, scratch-resistance, surface hardness, resistance to yellowing and elasticity.
